Certified Paperhanger Program
After years of careful planning, the Wallcovering Installers Association (WIA) has established a national certification program for ALL members of the wallcovering installation industry. The program is designed to help consumers, retailers, and manufacturers determine the qualification of decorating contractors. The program also permits members of the profession to demonstrate their capabilities with the certified paperhanger program.
Candidates for certification must be active, full-time wallcovering installers. As such, candidates must have a current employment with a minimum of 2 years. Also, candidates must possess a thorough knowledge of all materials and techniques in common use in the wallcovering installation trade. Candidates, however, need not be a member of the Wallcovering Installers Association.
Certified Paperhanger Achievement
Achievement of Certified Paperhanger status tells your industry peers - as well as your clients - that you are qualified by education and experience to work as a professional wallcovering installer and that you have satisfactorily demonstrated your knowledge and skill through a rigorous procedure that permits only true professionals to earn the designation of Certified Paperhanger.
