As we embrace the joy of the holiday season and the beauty it beholds, we also take time to reflect on another prosperous year for the Wallcovering Installers Association (WIA). As the only trade association dedicated to promoting the interests as well as needs of professional wallpaper installers, those of us at WIA deeply value our growing membership base. The skills, artistry, creativity, and also professionalism that you, our members, bring to the WIA is what elevates our organization each year. You continue to raise the standards of the paperhanging craft, and we are honored and grateful to be part of your journey.
Looking ahead to 2018, WIA is planning a year packed with opportunities for members to learn, network, share ideas, as well as expand the art of professional wallpaper installation.
- We will continue hosting workshops around the world for installers seeking to learn new or challenging techniques.
- We invite our members to showcase their favorite 2018 projects by submitting entries for consideration in the WIA Craftmanship Awards. The 2017 awards were a great success, and we can’t wait to see what 2018 brings!
- In mid-September, those in the WIA community will descend on the Rocky Mountains for the annual WIA Convention. Slated for Sept. 13-15 in the vibrant city of Denver, CO. The 2018 convention provides a forum for WIA members to unite, share in the latest industry innovations, and also celebrate the advancement of their craft.
